Our latest site visit to the Clifton renovation project was a productive one, made even better by homemade cake and plenty of coffee. We had a great session gathered around the table reviewing drawings, material samples, and programme seeing how far the build was progressing.
It’s always great to get on site with the whole team and have those face-to-face conversations, they make such a difference. We had productive discussions with the site manager, as well as our client, and lighting specialist, discussing key details on layouts, lighting design, and upcoming works schedule. Those in-person meetings are so great at capturing important details, as well as maintaining momentum. It's essential to make sure everyone is aligned on priorities and keeping the project running smoothly.
Inside, the stone walls and original timber beams are now fully exposed, and structural works are progressing well, with new steel supports installed to open up the basement and improve the connection between spaces. The end result will be an amazing family room, a place to house a pool table and cinema.
We also spent time refining the interior material palette, a mix of natural stone, warm oak, rich marbles, and soft textured fabrics. There is literally nothing better than having those round table sample sessions with our clients, it brings new ideas, new discussions and sometimes new directions.
Every visit brings new momentum to the project and when there’s cake involved, even better.
