Interior Design Client Gifts: Our Collaboration with The Chopping Block Shop

We love collaborating with people, whether that is with our clients, suppliers or local businesses. I first met Dan from The Chopping Block Shop at a local networking event, a few conversations down the line, followed by a morning spent in his workshop in Wiltshire on gloriously sunny day, with the scent of freshly sanded walnut in the air, Dan shared the background to his business and what it takes to make the bespoke chopping blocks. Dan explained how each board is handcrafted from wood such as walnut, then shaped and sanded with care, and finished so beautifully you almost don’t want to use it.

We talked about interiors, small business highs and lows, and how good design—whether a piece of furniture or a kitchen essential—can be equal parts practical but also beautiful.

We’ve always wanted to create a thoughtful, lasting interior design client gift to give to each client at the end of their Inuti projects. Something tactile and beautiful, that feels special because of its simplicity and knowing the quality and practicality of Dan's blocks, it made total sense to collaborate with The Chopping Block Shop.

Going forward we cannot wait to work with Dan and make the most of his exceptional craftsmanship, to produce some beautifully engraved chopping blocks, which will be wrapped and presented on project handover day.

For me, this kind of collaboration is what makes running a design studio feel so meaningful. It’s not just about delivering beautiful homes—it’s about the community of makers and creatives who bring them to life. Dan is a brilliant example of that: talented, and quietly obsessed with craft.
